AWARENESS TEAM
The Sue DiNapoli Ovarian Cancer Society’s (SDOCS) Awareness Team works year round to educate the community about the symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer. The team has distributed 9150 ovarian cancer symptoms cards and has had 776 one on one conversations with women about the disease during the summer of 2016! Our awareness team works year round to educate the community about the symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer. We are putting a loud voice to a silent killer. Ovarian cancer is often underfunded and ignored. As the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths among women, we believe ovarian cancer deserves more attention and more funds. SDOCS hopes to raise the level of awareness and funding in our community. SDOCS takes an active role in the community educating women as to the warning signs of ovarian cancer.
EDUCATION
We raise the level of knowledge and awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and risk factors by participating in community events. We continually put ourselves out there through many forms of communication including social media, email, TV and radio.

Territory Days in Colorado Springs is held every Memorial Day weekend in historic Old Colorado City located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Join us in raising awareness amongst over 180 food and craft booths, live music, a kids’ play area, and petting zoo and much more.
Tejon Street Bike Fest

Help the Tejon Street Bike Fest take over downtown Colorado Springs with bikes, concerts, contests, grub, and most imporantly, TEAL! Ride-in bike show, vendors, bikini contest, and live music in the beer garden all day long.
PrideFest

Bring the whole family to the park for a day of fun and rainbows at Colorado Springs PrideFest! Featuring family friendly entertainment, lawn games, photo booth (complete with props), and plenty of rainbow color souvenirs. Two days, two stages, and tons of teal!
